A global recession and economic meltdown as well as every oil producing country thinking their shit doesn’t stink has lead to lower incomes and higher gas prices and because of that we are seeing nearly every auto manufacturing company gearing up their assembly lines for more economical and fuel efficient cars. The EU has placed into low an average of emissions emitted from the full line of automobiles produced by a company and because of all these variables we see a transformation of what we consider the average vehicle. The 2013 cars coming out will be looking to advance on two major changes. The first change is aerodynamics and because the drag of a car is a main hindrance in fuel economy we will see that more cars will undergo invasive wind tunnel testing as well as a design change in materials as these companies look to lose as much curb weight as possible. With a lighter and sleeker body we will se better mileage and these features coupled with a newer and more efficient drive-train will only add to the overall efficiency of these automobiles. For 2013 cars coming out we will see direct injection that places fuel directly into the cylinders therefore mixing perfectly with the air and thus making less evaporation and better dispersion and vaporizing of the fuel and therefore making a more efficient engine connected to a transmission that utilizes more gears keeping the engine at lower revolutions per minute.
